SWEDISH POEMS

Mirror

So many marks,
so many steps of feet
that are forgotten,
that have been washed away
at these white shores
of desire, of joy and of sorrows.

So many tears
in the damp sand,
so many laughs there above,
so many songs
having sailed over this
the heavenís cold wavy mirror.

So many words
having left their hidden places
in the shadows,
so many dreams,
so many prayers whispered
at this place.
Without any steps in the sand.

Maybe the waves remember?
Perhaps the memories are wandering
above the depth?

But when finally
the mirror of Time
get crushed,
the splinter thereof will be
hidden deep in the sand
for never to wound
the eternally young feet
that are dancing
to the tones from the flute
at these white shores.
